 Actor Kim Seo-hyung will receive the best actress award at the 43rd Korea Film Critics Association Award (English Review Award) through the thriller "Vinyl House."


Kim Seo-hyung, who performed overwhelmingly through the film "Vinyl House" (director Lee Sol-hee, production of the Korean Film Academy, distribution of Triple Pictures), will receive the honorary best actress award at the 43rd Korea Film Critics Association Awards (Youngpyeong Award) to be held on the 21st of this month.


Earlier on the 4th, the Korean Film Critics Association announced the winners of the 43rd Youngpyeong Award to be held this year, of which Kim Seo-hyung, the main character of "Vinyl House," was chosen as the winner of the Best Actress Award.


"Vinyl House" is a story about Munjeong (Kim Seo-hyung), who lives in a plastic house and works as a caregiver, making an irreversible choice to hide the elderly woman he was caring for when she died in an accident, and Kim Seo-hyung played the role of Moonjeong, a caregiver.


Moon Jeong is a person who lives in a plastic house but works hard to find a house to live with his son while working as a caregiver at the home of an elderly couple with blind Tae-gang (Yang Jae-sung) and Hwa-ok (Shin Yeon-sook) who has dementia. 


However, while bathing Hwajok, a sudden accident led to her death, and Munjeong made an irreversible choice to hide it and faced a desperate situation. Kim Seo-hyung once again showed the true value of a luxury actor by portraying the character of Moonjeong in a delicate and three-dimensional manner.


Kim Seo-hyung expressed Moon's desire to leave the greenhouse and live with his son, and not to miss hope, and received rave reviews from the media, critics, and audiences.


"Vinyl House" was recognized as an overwhelming well-made work by not only winning Kim Seo-hyung's best actress award, but also being selected by members of the Korean Film Critics Association for its aesthetics.


The 43rd Korea Film Critics Association Award will be held at 2 p.m. on September 21 (Thursday) at the International Conference Hall of the Korea Press Center in Jung-gu, Seoul.
